Mother of dragons

Full time spring. I woke up, and my little dragons were right there, waiting for me.

These little babies sprouted in 4 days, right after the full moon. Climbing purple French bean (fagiolo rampicante trionfo violetto).

Как-то раз я проснулась, а мои фасолевые драконы уже ждали меня, и просились на улицу. Всего через 4 дня после полнолуния. 

It's warm in Innsbruck already and the beans have started climbing towards the fence. I am looking forward to picking the purple pods in summer :)

В Инсбруке тепло, поэтому фасоль уже начала виться вдоль забора, и я жду лета, чтобы начать собирать её фиолетовые стручки.

It looks like a gentle flower, but gentle as it is, it's actually a beetroot sprout :) Even though the night frosts seem to be over in the valley, I keep my seedlings under agrotextile just in case. April is a tricky month, at least the first week.

А вот так выглядит свёкла в детстве. Нежная и рыжая. Хотя в долине уже не наблюдается заморозков, я укрываю всходы дышащим геотекстилем...апрель - месяц шуток, по крайней мере первая неделя.

Garden centres are full of seedlings and full-grown vegetables, herbs *looking forward to getting my hands on strawberry mint*...and even wild garlic/bear leek/ramsons (allium ursinum). This flashes me back to walks in the Keila-Joa forest in May or early June, where the whole are smells with it. Really good for fresh spring salads, specially for those who need a vitamin boost.

Садовые центры уже во всю продают рассаду овощей, трав...и даже черемшу в горшочках. Прекрасный весенний витаминный взрыв после долгой зимы. Отлично подходит для салатов, или просто для потребления в свежем виде. А ещё её запах уносит в детство, в тёплый майский лес в Кеила-Йоа, где грохочет водопад и река встречается с морем.

Three days ago was the new moon. Time to start sowing again ;)
